CDC Launches 2020 Tips From Former Smokers® Campaign: Information for Dental Health Care Professionals 

CDC has launched the 2020 Tips From Former Smokers® (Tips) Campaign. The Tips campaign profiles real people who are living with serious long-term health effects from smoking and secondhand smoke exposure. More than 16 million US adults are living with a disease caused by cigarette smoking. 

Healthcare providers in a variety of settings play a critical role in helping people quit using tobacco. Dental professionals can play a key role in fighting tobacco use in their patients. CDC’s Division of Oral Health has partnered with the Office on Smoking and Health to include the dental community in their Tips® campaign.
