Since 1998 the Academy for Sports Dentistry has been holding live and silent auctions in conjunction with the annual Academy for Sports Dentistry Symposium. The auctions benefit dental trauma research and prevention, sports dentistry research, education, and special projects for sports dentistry. In the past, the program has helped fund the Academy dental trauma card.
This year’s event will begin on Thursday, June 23rd with the items being showcased during the symposium and the silent auction will culminate during the President’s Reception on Friday evening June 24th at the Green Valley Ranch Resort.
Past items include a NHL Washington Capitals Alex Ovechkin autographed official players jersey, Landon Donovan autographed jersey and cleat, US Men’s 2010 World Cup Team autographed soccer ball, Pau Gasol autographed 2009 All Star Jersey, a basketball signed by John Wooden, Willie Mays, Lou Brock, Eddie Mathews, and Warren Spawn autographed baseballs, a Bernie Kosar autographed helmet, autographed photographs, and various unique items such as golf clubs and books.
Please give consideration to contributions for this year’s auction. We would greatly appreciate any autographed or unique sports items or memorabilia that you can donate.
